Could I just mention also that today the 28th is Matt Lecointe's 21st birthday.....I wish him well.

Do we know what Matt is doing for a living at the moment....such a promising career cut short before it could blossom into full bloom.

Third knee surgery during summer.....hows it progressing I wonder ?

Craig Tanner wants to extend his loan period with Plymouth Argyle.

The 21-year-old Reading forward has scored three goals in 17 appearances for the Pilgrims this season, but his spell at Home Park runs out in January.

"I'm really enjoying my time here and if everyone says it's right then I'd be more than happy to sign for the season," Tanner told BBC Radio Devon.

"It's been really enjoyable and I'm very happy to have the opportunity learn my trade at such a big club."

Tanner has played five games for Reading, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Plymouth's League Two rivals AFC Wimbledon.

"I think I'm performing well at the moment, I think I've settled in now and am getting to understand what the gaffer wants from me, which always takes time," Tanner said.

"I've scored a couple of goals in not too many starts, hopefully I can get a few more starts, but I need to improve on my consistency and go from there."

Tanner's recent performances and "creative edge" have impressed Plymouth manager Derek Adams.

"It's not always easy to come into a team because he's got the likes of Gregg Wylde, Jake Jervis and Graham Carey to try and push out of the team," Adams said.

"But he has staked a claim for a starting position because of his performances in recent weeks."
