| Maybe people just don't care enough about the Q and A's to bother attending, whatever time they're held. It's all just hot air and a perceived worthy PR exercise for the Brentophiles. I'm still struggling to understand your apparent ire at being 'unable' to attend though, while at the same time steadfastly refusing to tweak your routine . Each to their own, I wouldn't attend if it was being held in the house next door. Ps.........I never knew you were on the trust, you've never mentioned it before! |

A traditional fairly popular way to spend pre match is in the pub rather then walking round town or paroozng the Aquarium. As has already been identified once you take away the Aviva fest and the Britannia there is nowhere within reasonable walking distance of HP. Been like it for years but it has never been properly addressed by Argyle, most club beyond League 2 have pubs or supporters clubs accessible for all, (Brentford have a pub at each corner of the ground). Can the Trust please Heckle the club over this , we want a supporters bar for all, not just Nool and his adoring tent dwellers. |

| I don't agree that it is stage managed to the degree that you cannot ask a pertinent question.
I think that anyone that turned up and was polite but intent on asking a question could get himself heard?
Graham Clarke has managed a few..
It's how hard you can press on the follow up that matters. Nobody so far on any of the video that I have seen( GC apart) has continued to pressure Brent in any way, once he has given a glib or trite answer.
But I agree....
When Brent hands off to Martyn Starnes and MS says something along the lines of "that's something I'm working hard on and I'm hopeful I will be able to announce something soon"... Well, that sort of bullshit really isn't anywhere near good enough!!
AFT! Put an end to that sort of rubbish as an acceptable reply! |

Maybe the FOCP could address the lack of pubs in central park? How about building the Old Bog Inn? |

Maybe the FOCP could address the lack of pubs in central park? Or even near it. I've always thought that the corner of Trelawney Road and Barn Park Road would be the perfect place for a pub. I suspect Lady Astor is to blame. |

Ps.........I never knew you were on the trust, you've never mentioned it before! Les, as I tried to explain it's not a case of tweaking a routine. It would mean getting another engineer to cover my Friday night standby shift. Would you fancy being called out at say 2am and not getting home again until say 6am and then having to be up again at 08.30 to get ready and drive down to Plymouth for what you describe as a PR exercise. Plus the inconvenience it causes to others, including the earache from the missus because she can't use the car all day because I've buggered off to Plymouth with it. It might be partly my fault for not knowing the meeting was on in the first place but none of my mates ( outside of the Trust) knew about it either. The reason for my ire is as an ex Trust board member I still have fans approach me and ask questions about certain things at Home Park. By far the most common question is what's happening about a replacement Far Post Club or something similar. I've been asking questions on this subject both on line, and through other channels behind the scenes, every chance I get on behalf of these fans. I have no problem with the Trust members who will be able to attend to ask questions on our behalf but I know from previous meetings that the club has tried to restrict the number of questions asked by just one person. Indeed the last meeting half the questions they had to ask never got heard. Any help the Trust can get from other fans who aren't adverse to asking questions that aren't along the lines of " how wide will the stripes be on next years shirts" is I'm sure welcomed. I particularly wanted to ask some questions about supporters facilities, including the Far Post and why after more than one survey showing the dissatisfaction with both the quality of the food and drink at the club and the speed of service there has been no improvement. In fact some fans would say it has got worse. There are also questions about the maintenance of the stadium and the questions Green Genie has asked. As for the Trust I was on the initial ISC of the Trust as the membership secretary and continued on the Trust as either a volunteer looking after the membership and a board member for the best part of 3 years altogether. I've assisted on a couple of working groups in the background as well. All that must have been before you joined ATD. It has been suggested before that the meetings could take place after the game in the tent. Say 20-30 minutes after the final whistle. All fans are there. Those that want to attend can, those that have to go immediately can. Those that think it's a stage managed waste of time won't bother. Many fans don't give a monkeys about what goes on at the club. They turn up, cheer when we win, moan when we lose and then go home. All fans can do is ask the questions. If the club refuse to answer those questions or give politicians type answers that tell you nothing, fans will draw their own conclusions. If I can get there Saturday, I will. |
