Another very disappointing result made slightly more bearable by a late City winner.

If you have to win 1-0 then scoring at 90+4 is when to do it. Did Cl..... M...... score or that now 2345 games without a goal? Laughing

Very happy for the young manager with the personable demeanour, working with a diddly budget.
He's got a cracking career in front of him, and I'm delighted. Straight back in their face after a setback last week.
I would assume even the manouevering super fans can't find fault with this man.

At last the reluctant one seems to have got something right........................as predicted, with DA's track record.

It'll end in tears if someone with cash backed ambition doesn't spot the potential and pay the banker off. It always does.

Quality start to the season. Argyle just don't win away this much, ever. Long may it continue.

Sounded like they were playing decent football on the radio. Well done Dezzer & long may it continue.

Incidentally, I heard Derek Adams landed in Argyle's lap after being recommended to Martin Starnes by a Crawley director after Crawley had overlooked Adams in favour of Mark Yates.

How long before the Herald trots out The Adams Family, or Derek and the Dominos ? Followed by a pizza sponsorship.

Happy to stand corrected, Elias but I don't remember us starting this well away from home in my Argyle-supporting lifetime.

I'd also be surprised to know we were top a couple of months in under Hodges....but back then, I expected us to do well in the basement because it was such a culture shock being in it...

He is absolutely guaranteed to score in the derby next month.

sorry to swear but if we are still in the top three after the busy christmas fixtures then we should still have a shout at promotion.

With the way they play, and the way we now play under Adams, I'm seriously considering a hefty wager on both teams scoring. It would seem nailed on.

So you just know it'll be 0-0.

Did you get on Czar?

Not often that you collect your Saturday bet by 20 past 3.

No I feckin forgot. Sad Crying or Very sad Mad
If I were a betting man, I would put money on the two dockyard big mouths going up automatically. That should still be good odds ? 10 to 1 shorely, maybe more.

Nothing like.

Pompey are 4/7 and we are 2/1.

Doubling up makes £1 return £4.71 of which £3.71 would be profit.

At 10s I'd have a go but not at 3.7/1!

As for today: woohoo!

Wycombe are a decent side and we beat 'em.

I'm starting to feel the tingle of optimism return.

I believe we only hired Derek Adams after 95% of the gullible Argyle faithful were behind some unproven Welsh Brighton coach, until EJH made some passionate posts pleading for sanity.

Go with the footballing track record please, for the love of God!

I am almost certain the Argyle board read these boards before making their final decision and I of course seek no remittance for my advice.

Everything I do is through love of my club.
