Give yourself a treat, get some decent speakers on and crank this up:

... It sounds as unlike a 1973 song as I can imagine but it has been bugging me. Apart from the vaguely Tom Waitsish rhythm under-pinning the track it reminds me strongly of something else. My problem is that exactly what that is is tantalisingly out of reach. I just can't place it.

So has this been sampled/copied/covered by somebody? If so who? Or if it is kind of like something else then what is it?

Help!

That may well be it!

I was edging towards My Sharona but I knew it wasn't the right song. Nutbush just might be. I'll listen again later and let you know.

About 7 seconds in on the Roxy track, definite shades of The Clash....

I would say Pink Floyd's another brick in the wall.
