| Articlein Herald where PCC are now describing Colin Campbell Court as the gateway to Millbay and paying more consultants for feasability studies and layouts.
Have they forgotten that there is already a Masterplan for the area, which JB's failures are blocking?

| Akker-gone. Foreshore.
It took a while for PCC to realise what many ATDers had been shouting about for the previous two or three years. But Brenty has been sussed.
Better late than never, I guess. |

| I think most of them are getting there. He certainly didn't get a hero's welcome when he presented some pot or other on Saturday. Lots of grumbling about him from where I was in the Devonport. |

| Colin Campbell Court has been an interesting one for some time now. It might even transpire that the ice rink will end up there rather than Central Park. I have never understood the logic of an ice rink ( and of course Brent's ludicrous cinema joke ) at HHP. Someone needs to remind people where all Plymouth public transport heads for. What percentage of city buses go through Outland Road on a regular basis ? Good to hear the Council has accepted the mistakes made, and is moving on. No point waiting for Walter Mitty. |

| I thought I'd just read the "libellous" thread again. With Brent losing the civic centre from PCC and managing to achieve absolutely diddly squat in what, five years, in Millbay and HHP I would have thought the thread title and content is absolutely bang on. I'm sure the abuse report must come from Mr. Nool. Anybody else would realise when they read it how truthful a statement that is, blindingly obvious in fact. I know someone who works at PCC he told me yonks ago that PCC had "lost patience" with him. |

| Many moons ago when Jimmy was writing articles for the odd property publications, one of his biggest tennets was how to stash one's dosh gained in the property bubble/toxic assets free-or-all he helped create at Citi, in assets that weren't likely to go belly up. Since the crash, stock markets, futures, just about anything has been liable to take a dive, and still is, with very few bolt holes outside of the specialist art market for the megas and diddlies to store their ill gotten and obtain even more appreciation. His answer/advice was to bank safe property assets where income through sales or rents came from institutions not liable to default in a total meltdown. Local government/listed buildings the public purse subsidises/ sitting on planning land value uplifts were considered a decent place.
He's riding out the storm, afraid to poke his nose out of his burrow. I laughed at his most recent statement concerning Plan B that "money is now beginning to come out of London looking for opportunities". Well bully for you. I expect the council yawned at that one. He will only enact something when there is no chance whatsoever of him taking an early bath. Without the privilege and connections, he would have been a standard clerk catching the bus every day, keeping his nose and brogue shoes clean. |
