Not great. Not super.
He gave us the best, quite possibly, TV series ever made.
It was surreal, funny, sad, seditious, angry, empathetic, absurd and deeply serious all at the same time and the only sane character was quite clearly insane...
Genius.

Ranks up there with the very best, the characters in the workplace are as relevant today as they were then, as you say Franny, genius.

I thought the Martin Clunes remake (with which DN was also involved) was pretty good and showed that rather well too. It's rare to see a sitcom from that (original) era that can still hold its own. I saw a few "On the Buses" episodes recently - dreadful.
