| No news of it on the baggo. Did we even have a scout before? Was it Sheridan's brother that was acting as scout, or was that Peter Reid who had his brother working for him? Under Sheridan we seemed to rely on loans and players that Sheridan already knew from his previous jobs. Getting a scout in who can identify talented players we can snap up would definitely be an improvement. |

| Who was the 20 year old 'Chief Scout' we had under Fletch, that unearthed Rhys Griffiths, PCH, Joe Lennox, Robbie Williams and Rene Gilmartin? |

| Anyone with any knowledge of good players we can sign would be an advantage at the minute I think. We have no depth at all in the middle of the pitch at the moment but we all know the budget is tight / non existant, so if he can find us some decent talent all the better wouldnt you say ? |

| I reckon its just someone Adams knows and trusts who is handy for Midlands and North but is out of work at the moment. Adams won't know too much about the league but needs a set of eyes and ears up north |

Argyle had a brilliant scouting system under Waiters, which led to players like Mariner,Megson,Phillips,Hodge,Barron,Aleksic,Hodges,Cooper,Foster and Sutton coming through and having distinguished careers. The bloke who discovered Mariner was called Verdi Godwin, a very journeyman player who had an obvious eye for a player. Apparently Tony was dubious about Mariner but Godwin insisted and said that if Waiters didn't take any notice of him on this one, then he may as well not scout for the club-he relented and the rest was history. Happy days. |

Gilmartin is premier league Absolutely horrendous keeper. He was noticeably below Jake Cole's level here, which is currently with a non league team. Gilmartin couldn't even get a game in Ireland for St. Pats Athletic, then he signed back with Watford to become their third team keeper? What a waste of a wage on their part. |
