There are some good ties in the draw though. Just a shame Argyle v Gillingham is not one of them. Bristol Rovers v Birmingham, Bolton v Burton, Luton v Bristol V City, Portsmouth v Derby, Southend v Brighton and Wolves v Newport catch the eye.

| It's always peed me off that we've not got very far in this competition, when the benefits of a cup run or a top draw could easily add a significant % of revenue to the club.
Gillingham at home is the sort of fixture our club should be smashing. |

Gillingham at home is the sort of fixture our club should be smashing. I agree totally. It's not as if we're looking forward to the group stages of the Champions League. 2 wins and we could have a nice day out at one of the big boys. I would do likewise with the Auto Windscreen (whatever its called these days). Bloody hell when you have to put up with Morecambe why not give your fans a great day out at Wembley. |

| I can't say I'm convinced about the CO Cup. Save our energy for the League and the FA Cup (and the JPT).
In fact, if it was down to me, I'd have the FL organised into four divisions of 18 (as in Germany) rather than three of 24. I'm sure having 12 less games a season would improve the standard and make Cup competitions more competitive. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] What a monumental bell end. Hope he goes bust. Not Gillingham - just him. |

| Take Your Fill of the Gills
IT WILL cost adult members of the Green Army as little as £10 to watch Argyle’s first home fixture of the 2014-15 season, as we take on Gillingham in the first round of the Capital One Cup. The cup tie against the Sky Bet League 1 outfit takes place on Tuesday, August 11, 7.45pm kick-off. Following the Pilgrims’ season opener away to AFC Wimbledon, Derek Adams’ men will take to the field at Home Park for the first time competitively in the new campaign, ahead of the Dockyard Derby against Portsmouth the following weekend. Bought in advance, adult tickets for the game will cost just £10, whilst admission for over-65s or students is only £8. Entry for under-18s is just £5. All ticket prices will increase by £2 if they are purchased on match-day. Advance Adults £10 Over 65/students £8* Under 18s £5 Match-day Adults £12 Over 65/students £10* Under 18s £7
*Full-time students with current and valid NUS photo ID card. Tickets for the game against the Gills will go on sale in due course; as soon as they do, we will have all the details on pafc.co.uk |
