Pasoti really does seem to be bombing, as far as contributions go, and it seems to be accelerating. The last couple of weeks have seen the religiously controlled and authoritarian forum enjoy no more than a 55% 45% split with ATD where posts are concerned. That is the worst ratio it has ever been for the heavily censored forum. I was looking at some website evaluation companies methodology, and they all say to beware forums that boast high monthly viewer ships, that are not reflected in the number of posts made by members. It really does seem as there has been a right old bit of gerrymandering going on. Actually, I don't think Newell and co want people to post, they just want them to passively view the propaganda and adverts. The trouble is forums are not really there for that purpose. Fans actually like to see a bit of spice in their club's online debate.

Agreed SJH. Remember the birth of the fanzine culture and how anti-establishment it seemed at the time. Imagine being able to purchase reading material at the game that was actually critical of the club and took the piss out of its rivals and donkey striker. Genuinely excited about the next edition.
Then to Pasoti's current output is another notch in the sanitisation of football and Argyle. Just think there are people alive today who listen to Ian Wright on 606 and have no idea of the joy of listening to Danny Baker hosting a post match football phone in.

I've made this point before but whenever there is a coup in some dodgy tinpot country the fiercest fighting takes place around two places: the airport and the radio station. Control the airport and you control who can come and go; control the radio station and all information is controlled leading to control of the masses. You can spread lies as truths and stop truths from emerging at all. Job's a good un.
Pasoti is, in effect, PAFC's radio station. To control the masses then first Pasoti must be controlled.
PJ realised this long ago hence the long and nasty Pasoti campaign on behalf of the Consortium back along and hence Nooly being backed by "3 influential Argyle figures" when he took half of it off Gaddy.
Argyle has always just been a pawn in the wider game for Brent. A necessary, but inconveniently high-profile, way in to the city's wider projects.
The grandiose sheme has gone completely tits up now and I think he sees himself rather more as Gordon Gecko than Gordon Brittas and so Argyle, and by extension Pasoti, hardly matter at all - other than for supplying a bit of always welcome cashflow into the Akkeron accounts - anymore.

No need to worry about the airport, even if a plane does land there the gormless jobsworths won't let it leave again.

Stand by your beds, mickle's online.
Good post that Sir Francis, salient points covered concisely. And yes, Dick, it goes right back to the fanzine culture. Pasoti and all online forums appropriated by the 'brands' in all walks of life are dying a death everywhere. Good, they should never have sold out.

Even if their tinpot Aviva Torquay fans night attracts the hardcore Pasoti brainwashed you are talking a maximum of 40- 50 people paying 10-15 quid. Feck me that's like sticking an elastoplast over a severed limb.

Yesterday on the main page I counted about 7 posts on 3 Argyle related topics from the early hours until tea time apart from 17 people posting on the Torquay United thread. Sorry but there is no way in hell that they have as many active members as claimed or as many regular active posters as claimed. If the site is that quiet it makes a complete mockery of the post put up by Gaddy last week. The biggest shame is the Terraces forum which is almost dead these days. It used to see some great debate on all manner of subjects from some very capable posters. Sadly there is no longer the cross section of posters there used to be on any of the forums.
I see on Pasoti Nool is now the official club advertising officer. Fiver to sit with the pint chuckers, personal detail leakers and tent dwellers. If the devil could cast his net.............................

What Gaddy was doing was very smartly including guests and ALL hits in his stats. Not individual unique hits.

6 topics today with a new post on what is generally a busy day football forum wise.
2 of those are an auction and the Torquay love fest.

Do this Nikki guy own Argyle money? Would he tell us if he did? Is it FES or (and ) FIL in liquidation? The liquidation notice that Rickler posted ran out on the 21/07/2015? So did FIL become insolvent?
I thought it rather strange that Nikkk ignored what I and Frank Bullitt posted about his companies being dissolved?
Why I wonder?
Still no response.

I've been active regarding all things Argyle for circa 15 years.
I can tell you now Pasoti is nowhere near what it used to be.
Boring in content.
Limited in posting frequency.
Young fans who don't know better won't know what 15 new threads a day is like, what the banter about trigger used to be like, the roasting of the directors, how funny terraces used to be.
Over zealous moderating ruined it all.
Dgaddy's post smacked of a sanctimonious PL2 thread. I might be wrong but it is not his usual style at all.

I had two reminders over the weekend of Pasoti times past. I saw John Petrie in The James Street Vaults on Friday afternoon but didn't get the chance to chat. His withdrawal from Argyle social media seems pretty complete and I, for one, miss his comment.
I also didn't realise that Peter Jones had suffered a pretty severe stroke, I'm sure, despite our differences, we would all wish him a full and speedy recovery.

It would appear he's on the mend now. He's been present at all the recent matches.

Very much so. Same when the late Robert Dennerley was diagnosed with cancer-most people on here vehemently disagreed with the club policies which he and the board of the time instigated but wished him well in his ultimately unsuccessful battle. The consequences of a stroke are not funny, as some members of my family would have been able to testify to, and as you say Charlie, football differences are rather irrelevant in these things. All the best to him.
