Reading something when your head's wedged up Ian Newell's backside is an impressive achievement, to be fair.

That reminds me.....about 18 months ago they changed the 'who is online' settings from 'in the last hour' to 'in the last three hours'......this can only have been done to make it appear that there are more people online than the actual figure, desperate or what!

I think you'll find it was changed from the "last 30 minutes", thereby possibly inflating the original figures 6 fold. It happened at the same time Newell took over, about the same time he felt it convenient to no longer show the past post count of contributors, thus making it more difficult to spot the many Pasoti multi accounts appearing and disappearing at will.

It's been a while, but I think ATD's, and every Forumotion forum, online fan count is one that is almost calculated in present time with little time lag. I would imagine the same methodology as Pasoti's would see ATD's online fan count up around the 400 figure most days.

The post count has been for several years roughly 60/40 in favour of Pasoti. This was skewed a little last year when Newell just deleted roughly 50,000 posts that he didn't like. Nothing like rewriting history. The 60/40 pst ratio gives an indication maybe of the true active members, although I would imagine Pasoti has a few more guests possibly than ATD that just read and don't contribute, given it's long term establishment. Just what Newell wants, passive ears with no opinion to worry about.

February 21st  2014.

Pasoti's user and guest numbers went from 11 and 87 to 25 and 355

I know because (I think) Oddball had been moaning about how dead ATD was, and comparing it to the farm...

So, I noted a few of the key statistics, beginning Feb 4th.

Mainly Pasoti had 642,437 posts and ATD had 180,328

I collected data for some time, but on Feb 14th, I realised it was going to get tricky as at the end of that day, Pasoti had 265 less posts than what they had started with?  This despite having 60 users and now 300 guests...

I collected data until July 30th 2014:  Pasoti 635651   ATD  207731


You will realise just how the Pasoti books are cooked if you look at the figures today...

Pasoti 609663   ATD  263148

In short...  In order to track how each site is doing, a careful eye would need be kept on Pasoti daily to ensure that only figures before 'cleansing' are counted.

Have said more than a few times 30-40 Posters account for 95% of Posts. Its dying a painful death and will only breathe new life when the Pig walks away.

It could be a great site if ran properly, just talk about football fair enough a lot of fans would buy into that, but add the self adulation of Nool and his charidee work, the small minded clique that abuse young posters and ridicule any post not on message is enough to turn any free minded individual away and that is what happened.
Just look at the diversity of posts and opinions on here, we are winning that race about 90/10.

Pasoti can never be a good site as it has been terminally infested with filth and corruption for too long, the decent posters of Pasoti of which there are now virtually nil now are better off migrating then trying to turn it into something worthwhile reading.
Trying to find a decent article on Pasoti is like trying to search for a pound coin in a dungheap.
Just shut it down for good.

At least Pasoti is only owned by IJN, not totally controlled by him like Exewebb

When they had the lockdown of boards to members only I asked Administration why there still couple couple of dozen guests in Terraces and handful in City of Plymouth.

Postey replied that it was due to bots attracted by traffic.
Never got reply when I said that traffic on main board on matchday would likely mean hundreds of guests were bots

Postey lied. They were ruining their own forum because we were taking the piss out of them. They do it quite a lot.

Another point to consider is that at least 50% of their views are ATDers using the site to laugh at the actions of the not so solid crew. If these figures are computed ATD is way more active than the appaza bigger site.
