Just a thought
Just because he doesn't get a chance by Sheridan, doesn't mean Harvey isn't pulling his weight.
At the end of the day, one man has an opinion that some players are more useful than others. However that same opinion just cost us the playoffs because it was plainly wrong.
We need to get beyond this fixation that all Sheridan's decisions are factually correct because he made them.
Just because Thomas was released, it doesn't mean he was crap for Argyle and we are better off without him. Just because Banton has been released, it doesn't mean he had nothing good to offer us anymore. Just because Harvey has had nothing but a handful of sub appearances this season, it doesn't mean he is not trying hard enough.
It is just one man's opinion who is as prone as anyone else to making human mistakes and errors in judgement.
In my opinion, Harvey needs first team football next season as a priority. We have to be thinking about arranging a season long loan in non league football, because he won't develop into a football league player just by carrying the balls to training and doing half time kick ups. He needs to be scoring goals and learning his trade, either in an U21 league or a suitable level.
Leaving him idle on the bench for another season will be good for no one.
