Well done Bournemouth - remember going to Dorchester to see them play Brentford a few years back, when they had to move out of Dean Court whilst being re developed. Incredible story all round!!

Envious as fook init. How close were we to a similar position before the family silver was sold off. That will grind me until my dying day. Evil or Very Mad

It would be great if Brentford could get up with them, that would put Swansea and Hull who were both in the 4th with us the season we went down to the Conference and these two who we played in our first season back in the league in the Prem together.

Shows there is a pathway for City to become Devon's first Premier League club.

Just got home from the Valley.....neat organized team so superior to Charlton.....two early goals.....looked as if they where going to score 6.....Nice to see Dan Gosling come on as a second half sub.........Matt Richie a serious player...all over the place, scored the first goal cutting inside from the wing and placing the ball in the far corner.

4000 Bournemouth fans out singing Charlton all the time.....near the end they went mental when they heard that Watford had been pulled back for a draw...so they received the trophy after the match......hardly anyone left the ground for 30 minutes or so after the finish.

Hundreds of black and red balloons on the pitch gave the ground staff lots of work before the game started late.

Nice to see so many Charlton fans stay to clap off Bournemouth. One of the defining characteristics of this team is that they do go to play for 6 or 7 as opposed to 1 or 2. They will lose a few of course but I'm happy to invest a large amount that they stay up next season. They won't change their philosophy and that will beat those teams merely defending for 17th place.

I think they'll stay up next season- probably fairly comfortably too. However, they will need to significantly expand that ground of theirs.

Shall we have a whip round to send the talented individual up there?

No need....Carl Fletcher has firsthand insight on how PAFC go about improving their ground......as long has he can keep a straight face while passing on the info...... raised eyebrow .

The talented individual is already there, helping to coach the youth team.

Only a 15% increase in season ticket prices and under 8's continue to go free when accompanied by a full paying adult. Season tickets capped at 7,000 to allow approx 3k tickets to be sold as singles per match.

The new TV deal of course makes ticket income virtually irrelevant however clubs don't have a great reputation for passing this extra income onto supporters. Bournemouth could easily have increased season ticket prices by far more.

I have a few happy friends and neighbours.........lucky bastards tongue

Just shows what can be done with a bit of bottle and a bit of backing, rather than chickening out or exploiting the quality players on the books for personal gain [depending on your point of view] as Argyle did when in just about as good a position as Bournemouth in 2007.Argyle would have been in a better position [both fanbase wise and ground capacity] to build on it and become what Swansea have but there you go. Trust in Stapes eh. Still brings a lump of bile covered vomit to my throat just thinking about it.
