| Brilliant start to the event tonight, Jack Nicklaus got a hole in one in the pre tournament par 3 competition. Jack is 75 now, greatest player of all time in my book. As to the main event-very difficult to predict a winner but i'll go with Spieth, great all round game and in good form at the moment. |

| I really think McIlroy is going to do the biz this time - Dustin Johnson top yank - Woods to miss the cut |

You shrewd old dog Skinny, looks like a good shout at the moment, only halfway there though. Hope you had a few bob on it! |

Speith four ahead but Rose and Mickelson closing in-Jordan blew it a bit last year when he was in the lead but somehow I don't think he will this time. Should make darned good viewing tonight whatever the outcome, playing in a tournament this morning, bit of roast beef when I get home, then settle down to watch-luvverly! |

29 points in the Stableford in very windy conditions, bang average performance really. Roast beef is starting to smell good,i'll tuck into that, then watch to see how it should be done. |

| Some noble efforts to catch him but they ran into the kid who couldn't miss, the new breed. Given good health and a fair wind, young Mr Spieth is going to be winning tournaments for a long time and lots of them. Ultra competitive but with an obviously good temperament and an all round game to match, seems a decent and grounded lad off course as well. Very impressive. |

| Yep - fair play to the lad. An old head on young shoulders indeed. What might have been for Rory if he'd got his first two rounds together - finished strongly. |

| A well deserved win and I'm pleased he won it but from an excitement POV a closer finish would've been better. |
