SHERRIFF RODNEY( Rodders )

ROD Passed away peacefully in surgery at Derriford Hospital on 25th March 2015 aged 79 years. Retired boiler maker of H.M. Dockyard. Beloved husband of Avril. My sorrow is the memory of happy yesterdays, I will never stop loving you. Now out of pain. Our Paul, June and Rich and Joe and Ted B. will be waiting at Heaven's gate. Good night God bless. Love Avril and your devoted family. Funeral to be held at Weston Mill Crematorium on Friday April 10th 10.00am.

A boiler maker, no longer a common occupation in this country nowadays.

The older you get the more goodbyes you say and it does seem the less hellos as the average age of any football crowd grows inexorably older.
