News from North Devon. A branch of Tesco has had to be evacuated after an employee (known locally as 'that Greenarmy1984 fella') spontaneously combusted on hearing the latest score from Whaddon Road

Great win today, but it is not over until the fat lady sings, so i am not getting carried away just yet.
Here are the remaining remaining League Two fixtures and there are some interesting games still to be played.

Good win today in what could have been a tricky game. Luton lost as well, hopefully Burton can turn Stevenage over [live on Sky on Monday], Northampton still looking dangerous. Goal scoring debut for the new lad, all looking good this week, bit of a contrast to last Saturdays shenanigans. Should be a decent atmos against Burton next week, quite looking forward to it actually.

Enjoyed today. Cheltenham were fecking awful. We awarded them far too much respect in the first half. Typical boring long hoofs fans are accustomed to seeing watching Argyle away. Crucially out of nothing Carl McHugh out of nowhere went from a run from inside our half. He passed one, two, three players, drew their CBs out and played Reuben in a treat. 1-0 up for a crucial half time lead that prevented a dire second half ensuing a la Oxford.
Second half we were truly fantastic. The long passes stopped, the respect and fear of Cheltenham vanished. Bobby Reid pulled the strings and Argyle played some beautiful gliding football that we all know our talented players can play. THD bombed forward. Banton had all the confidence of old. Reuben took the ball and calmly held on to it for as long as he liked. Bobby Reid continually tore them open to create incisive openings. Brunt came on and battered the poor Cheltenham defence in the air, while Ansah showed the youthful aggression and enthusiasm for goal reminiscent of a young Jason Banton.
Much happier with that Sheridan. So much better when we believe in ourselves and play confident football. Make no mistake, Cheltenham were awful but we can do this to most sides at this level when we set out to play like we did that second half. Full credit to Shez for the half time talk bringing about evident confident changes.

Cheltenham Town player Eliot Richards has this week been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
The appropriate treatment has been arranged, which will include surgery early next week.
The club will of course ensure that every assistance is offered to Eliot and his family to help them through this difficult time.
Testicular cancer is not common but each year around 2,300 men in the UK will be diagnosed. It usually affects younger men and, thankfully, is one of the most treatable types of cancer with over 95% of men being completely cured if diagnosed early enough.
Regular self-examination of the testicles is recommended for all men. Any persisting ache or the appearance of a lump or swelling should be brought promptly to the attention of your GP, as Eliot did.
In due course we expect Eliot to make a full recovery. In the meantime we know that all Cheltenham supporters will want to join us in wishing Eliot and his family well in the days and weeks ahead.

Good luck to him, puts football into true perspective. Seem to remember Romain suffering from the same illness but making a recovery to the extent of playing high level football again, lets hope for the same outcome in this case.

Good luck to the lad.

I've had it - left knacker whipped out pretty sharpish - right knacker fully functional - wouldn't have wanted to lose both mind. He should be OK but it's a very weird feeling when ones manhood is compromised.

It was bad enough getting hit there once when fielding at silly mid off. I'll never forget the pangs of hell which seemed to reach every part of the body and sprout out through the ears while everyone on the pitch was convulsed with laughter. Bastards.

I think the cricket ball was embedded in there, didn't need one. I vomited on the changing room floor after being carried off and then crawling across it and was off work for a few days afterwards. Always insisted on wearing a box if fielding in that position afterwards, it isn't an experience to be recommended.
