Waitrose selling John Lewis goods in a new store at Seaton Barracks, the Plymouth plan is to build the largest store in the region. It will go along with the new head quarters of the Range

The Council's previous plans for Seaton & Derriford got kicked out by Planning Inspectorate due to the traffic impact on the already notorious bottleneck.

"Localism" will probably allow them to create a complete mess in the area especially if SWW push through their plans to sell off Crownhill WTW opposite.

NEW road is to be built across the north of Plymouth after the city was awarded grants worth almost £24million for a string of major projects.

The link road will carve across Forder Valley linking Derriford with Sherford and Langage, aiming to ease pressure on Tavistock Road and other key arteries.

I did worry about the Derriford bottleneck issues, will this new road sort it all out? Last time I was there it was a 'mare - quicker walking than driving.

The new road will make it quicker to get from Forder Valley to Derriford roundabout, but while Forder Valley is still single carriageway, any increase in traffic will mean huge tailbacks. It's bad enough now at rush hour.

PCC seem to make a proper pigs ear of every major highways plan within the city. I'm confident they'll continue in that vein.
