| Tuesday's fixtures look interesting.
Accrington v Shrewsbury Burton v Southend Bury v Luton Newport v Mansfield Northampton v Portsmouth Stevenage v Argyle
I would like to see Luton, Mansfield, Argyle and Burton all win.
A draw at Accrington and Northampton would do.

| Ah well, down to earth with a fookin great bump. The bad news started early with the absence of Reuben, didn't like the way he went down at Exeter last week after that third goal, hope he's OK for the rest of the season otherwise we are truly fooked. Bury on top in the early stages, had a chance or two, in particular when McCormick saved after a shocking error from Hartley. Argyle gradually got more into the game, Talbot should have done better than a weak shot after being put in by Bobby Reid, indeed that was the story of Drew's afternoon-got in good situations but didn't make the most of them. In some ways it was a similar game to Cambridge, Bury probably would consider that they should have been ahead at HT. The pattern of the Cambridge game was repeated at the start of the second half in that Argyle really got a hold of the game and attacked incessantly-Nelson hit the bar with a header from a corner and Lewis had a goal disallowed which looked a fairly debateable decision from where I was sat. The difference between Bury and Cambridge was that the former always looked likely on the break and that proved to be the case when Nardiello converted a right wing cross with McCormick helpless. Argyle huffed and puffed and made three substitutions including the rather odd one of Mellor for Brunt [doesn't look good for Tyler] but to be fair Mellor didn't do that badly and indeed set up a perfect chance for .......well, no-one following in. Bury again hit Argyle on the counter and scored from another attack down their right flank to set the seal on a bitterly disappointing afternoon when the threadbare nature of Argyle's squad and the lack of potency from other areas of the team when the strikers aren't scoring well and truly exposed. |

I've never been a Shez critic and I really rate Mellor as a full back, but FFS Shez, what the feck is the point having Harvey on the bench if you're going to prefer to bring Mellor on and play him at centre-forward?? The one time the ball came in inch-perfect for Mellor he had no instinct to do anything with it. He isn't a fuckin striker FFS. Bizarre from Shez. |

| Agree with Greenskin, the similarities with the Cambridge game were striking(or lack of in our case) but with the two late goals going to them instead of us. They started well, we worked our way back into it and it was a pretty even but mostly dour first half, if anything they may have just shaded it. Just like against Cambridge we flew out of the traps in the second half and were well on top, they barely got out of their own half, Lewi scored a decent goal but was flagged offside, hard to tell if it was the correct decision from where I was in the Lyndy but there didn't seem to be too many complaints from our players so that tells a story, then Nelson headed against the crossbar but the inevitable happened, we were hit on the break and 1-0 to Bury, Sherry made three subs and as as been said Mellor went up front with Lewi, it all seemed to fall apart a bit and our play became very disjointed as we halfheartedly searched for an equaliser. In the dying minutes they again caught us out at the back and bang, 2-0 Bury, the perfect smash 'n' grab away performance. The officials had a terrible day at the office imo and I'd have said the same even if we'd won. Must bounce straight back and get something on Tuesday or the gap will become a canyon. SHERIDAN OUT |
