| Hi guys, I know most of you are ancient so won't affect you, but if you know any young people then feel free to pass on my message about standing for MYP (Member of Youth Parliament). More information can be found at the website: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Anyway, as a quick going over, the 3 main parts of my manifesto are.. - More lessons regarding mental health, including awareness, attitude and treatment. For some reason mental illnesses aren't treated in the same way as bodily disabilities. This needs to change. - Teaching the teachers. They don't all know the signs or what to do, I'd like to see more with regards for courses and sessions for teachers (and parents) with regards to noticing mental health problems and what to do. - More life skills taught in schools. From taxes to how to use a washing machine, youngsters just don't tend to know. I personally feel it's more of a parents duty but it doesn't always happen - these PHSEE and general studies hours can be put to better use. Cheers, Josh

| Add a campaign for the living wage and address poverty in the south west and it would help IMO. Just being a critical observer it does appear if you are concentrating mainly on mental health problems. Shouldn't your portfolio be more wide reaching covering health, welfare, work, pensions and health or are meant to kind of specialise? |

| Ps. I fully support anybody getting involved in politics, just stay away form the parties and think for yourself. |

I'd love to and of course welcome all of that, but we're only allowed an 80 word manifesto unfortunately. |

Back in t' day the Youth Parliament didn't involve the political parties - is that still the same? Let's hope so. |

| Little example Rick, but you'd be surprised. I could happily live by myself but I reckon 75/80% of people don't know those things. Did mean more regarding taxes and stuff like where your money goes when your older and why politics does matter to young people etc. |

You only have one life - get out and get laid, bhey. Unless you're seriously dull, that's what matters way more to most young people. |

Not got any interest in chasing women ffs I say to my boys that there are two sorts of people in this world, people that do things and people that don't. This could be equally applied to you being involved in politics or not but if you fore go the living of life, seeing new horizons, tasting life in the raw, the love of good women and bad and what's more living hand to mouth, without these experiences you don't know the world and as a politician if you don't know the world then what does motivate you? Go out and live life for a while and motivate yourself by your experiences, walk a different path. Follow me on twitter @theiggy |

Follow me on twitter @theiggy I don't want to do career politics - the idea of that horrifies me. Personally I'm quite keen to pack up my bags and go to America for a year, maybe to do football coaching or something. Reckon that'd be fun. |
