Good on them.
If these evil scumbags want a fight - then that's just what they'll get. Will the AFT magazine, Issue 3, contain any cartoons of the prophet mo (peace be on eeee) ? |

If these evil scumbags want a fight - then that's just what they'll get. For a perennial financially troubled company whose normal circulation is around 40,000 copies...................... Make up your own minds! |

| Oh I agree, and am actually quite disappointed with the state of the cartoon. |

| Been an Eye subscriber for over 30 years. Their latest issue went to press just a few days before the attack so it will be something like 10 days before the post-Hebdo issue comes out. I have to say I have been rather disappointed with the Eye's responses to Islamic fundamentalist pressure. After the outcry over the Danish magazine's (Morgenposten I think) publishing of cartoons featuring Muhammed a few years ago, I thought their response was pretty muted.
Someone (Stephen Fry I think) suggested that, to show support, all newpapers/magazines around the world should publish the same Muhammed cartoon on the same day at an agreed point in the near future, which I think is a good idea. Though I suspect the Tehran Times would probably baulk at it. |

| Hmm. I did see the Hebdo cartoon and it srtuck me as disappointing.
Yes I get the message but tears don't really send out a strong vibe. I agree 100% with what they're trying to show but feel it could have been done in a stringer way. Perhaps with the murderers being condemned by Mohammed within hell or something.
Mind you, I hope it doesn't drag on too much - yes I'm all for freedom of speech but no, I don't believe in provoking people for absolutely no reason. |
