I don't see why they should benefit from any gossip I hear if they are going to edit my posts, erase some posts and then reply to my post, having edited it thus making my look like I have 3 brain cells, 2 or which are dead.

Sounds familiar, I thought one of my PM's was altered, I used a swear word on a PM to another poster, it wasn't an abusive post but that word disappeared, so I concluded a mod had read my PM and removed the word.
I've got no IT knowledge at all but is it possible for PM's to be read by others ?

Not that I like to defend pasoti but the swear checker may work on pm's and posts.

Yeah and even if they can't then they'll know your password. Very straightforward for them to get on and have a look. I assume that's what happened to me but all they'll have found is me chatting to pilgrimmike about him giving me some chickens. Very dull.

They can and do read passwords and here's how, change password using mod powers, log into account and have a read then when the poster says that they can't log in give them a new password and say its a technical glitch. Anybody can do it with mod powers however all the other mods would know as it recorded in a log automatically when you change anything, I can't wait for a mod defection.

Maybe that's what happened then, although when I questioned them they never mentioned a swear checker only the fact they would never read or amend a PM, but I had a couple of bans prior to that for trivial stuff which would get laughed at on here, so enough was enough for me, and account deleted by me.

They have been known to change usernames too for heir own amusements

A pity in some ways you have left the farm along with Josh RWW as that's two less to question and highlight the excesses of the control freaks over there. In many ways I hope Womble stays there to continue to question. They will end up with the subservient sterile forum they seem to want at this rate. On the other hand more and more taking a peek over here will see the growth of the site and the freedom to speak it offers.
