Anyone else shop on the German Amazon site instead of the Uk one?

I have been using the German Amazon for a few years now and must of saved thousands.

Today I am looking for a new surround sound system. My sub has a nice rip in the bass cone=fooked!!

The system I have been looking at is the LG BH9540 9.1 surround, wireless rear speakers etc etc bla bla.

Once again, Amazon.de has come up trumps.

Amazon.co.uk = £649

Amazon.de = €579 which equates to £454.

A saving of nearly £200. How? Why?

Postage from Germany will cost over £300? I buy quite a bit of stuff from USA and Australia, I get diving and snorkelling equipment for almost half price. Germany looks like its worth a go.

Postage from Germany is much cheaper than UK, DHL, even though is the national carrier.

On this particular product, it's free delivery, FFS. Previous items from Amazon.de have also qualified for free 'next day' delivery. Not once has it failed to turn up next day!! fecking German efficiency me reckons.
