Argyle will always be number one. However to get my football fix here, I watch my local side.

I'm also a member of the club.

They are in the 5th tier of German football and they have a couple of things in common with Argyle.

Nearly wound up, demoted down the leagues as a result and are now on their way back.

They also represent the largest German city to never have had a team in the top tier!

Good, honest entertaining football and a good atmosphere to go with it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present Bonner SC

A lot cheaper Mouldy. €7 or €5 for members. Beer and food (except for the burger) are reasonable. The programme is free.
I can also watch the game (stand or sit) with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other!!!

This was the game on Sunday.

PS Is the Cologne mascot (Hennes) a relative??

They are top of the league so I'm more of a glory hunter. cheers cheers

They have also won the Mittelrheinligapokal (cup) this season and are in the quarter finals of the Mittelrheinpokal.

The winners of the Mittelrheinpokal qualify for the German cup. As a small club (should they qualify) they will be guaranteed a home tie against one of the big boys in the first round. They would also get between €200,000 and €250,000.

I've been invited to the club Christmas party tonight.

I could go "VIP" (free food and drink) to all games but choose not too.

I might change my name to Moist_Von_Kunstoff-Aviva. jocolor jocolor jocolor jocolor

OK, a quick update.......

Currently second in the league by one point with 5 games to go. We play the top team at home in the final home game on May 31.

Table

Only one team gets promoted.

On 14 May (public holiday here) we entertain Viktoria Cologne in the Mittelrhein cup final. Tickets €12 to sit and €9 to stand.

There will be around 7-8,000 there rather than the usual 2-600!!!!!

The game is worth around €140, 000 for the winner as the winner qualifies for next season's German Cup!!

The DFB Pokal is seeded so a home tie against one of the big boys is guaranteed!

Watch this if you have a few free minutes...

Never leave before the final whistle!
