Champions League tonight

Brendan Rodgers leaves Gerrard, Henderson, Ballotelli (fair one) and Sterling on the bench tonight for one of the biggest European games in years.

Why? Because they have a big game on Saturday and the league is more important. Why is that game more important? So they can get in the top four and play teams like Real Madrid in the Champions League.

I think Liverpools days as a top club are over, The very best foreign players just wont go there, they want to live in London or  Manchester.

An hour gone and only a goal in it. Madrid haven't got out of 2nd gear, pretty lacklustre. Liverpool could deffo have gotten summat here with their first team.

The Arse were 3-0 up, now 3-2. Anderlecht's first was apparently 3 yards offside.

I don't think so. As you say Real didn't get out of 2nd gear. I think against a full Liverpool team they would have gone up one gear at least and two if they had needed to. In the first game at Anfield they did the job inside half an hour and then went on cruise control for 60 minutes to save themselves for El Classico.

Liverpool are a pale shadow of the team they were last season.
