| Brendan Rodgers leaves Gerrard, Henderson, Ballotelli (fair one) and Sterling on the bench tonight for one of the biggest European games in years. Why? Because they have a big game on Saturday and the league is more important. Why is that game more important? So they can get in the top four and play teams like Real Madrid in the Champions League. Hang on a minute... Fuckin idiots. |

| Even with their best side they were fecked. Might as well stick in the reserves as you have an excuse for a heavy defeat. Some might perform like the Newcastle reserves at Man city last week in the Carling Cup? Probably a 5-0 defeat awaits for the pool. |

| It's just a nonsensical 'full circle' tho' innit? The Holy Grail for Liverpool is a top four finish so they can get in the Champions League. Having got there, play a B team in a fantastic showpiece match, then run a real risk of exiting the competition they supposedly valued so highly in the first place. Nuts.
Ha ha Benzema, 1-0 |

| It's all about the money, getting there is more financially rewarding than trying to win it, European bollocks, at least if UKIP get in British teams will only play in domestic competitions! |

Ha ha Benzema, 1-0 I think Liverpools days as a top club are over, The very best foreign players just wont go there, they want to live in London or Manchester. |

| An hour gone and only a goal in it. Madrid haven't got out of 2nd gear, pretty lacklustre. Liverpool could deffo have gotten summat here with their first team. |

| The Arse were 3-0 up, now 3-2. Anderlecht's first was apparently 3 yards offside. |

| I only watched the last 15 minutes but Anderlecht had some good (young) players- Tielemans (17), Acheampong and Mitrovic. |

I don't think so. As you say Real didn't get out of 2nd gear. I think against a full Liverpool team they would have gone up one gear at least and two if they had needed to. In the first game at Anfield they did the job inside half an hour and then went on cruise control for 60 minutes to save themselves for El Classico. |

..... and how far from Manchester is Liverpool? Most of the Northern millionaire players live out on Formby Point which is nowhere near either of them, commute in their RR Sports they do. |

| Liverpool looked like a plucky small club in a FA cup tie last night against a big club. Madrid won it in second gear. |
