| No more belly laughs about us, please, because it won't be long before we shoulder the burden of glory once again. After plenty of ham-fisted attempts and streaky results these stripey piglets are back. Sheridan has successfully manufactured a silk purse from a sow's ear and even if the team's ills aren't cured yet and a little boring the old spots of doom and gloom can now be filed under "hogwash" and might as well belong to the iron age because we're close to suckling at the teat of success. The anticipation is crackling all around us and if we can chop out the mistakes, like selling players to Barnsley, we could be just about ready to get our snouts back in the trough of lower league glory and enjoy the tuffle oil of success.
Once upon a time us being successful would have been as likely as getting dung-bombed by a squadron of flying pigs but not any more; this team is about to bring home the bacon. |
