They will also be taking this competition seriously as it is their first season back at the Ricoh.
Why they ever moved away from Highfield Road I will never know as it was a tidy ground with a decent capacity.
I went to Highfield Road the first season back in the championship, ( was a praper fan back then) i thought it was a great football ground with a brilliant atmosphere, they should have stayed there.

Was that the game Trigger scored from about 40 yards, lobbing their keeper with a cracking volley?

Oh well, end of cup run.

What is wrong with you lily livered surrender monkeys?

Coventry are a point off the League One relegation zone, hardly an impossible away game that warrants turning off Sparksy and lying down on your beds in the foetal position.

Would you be just as scared to play Yeovil, Scunthorpe, Crewe or Walsall? These teams are only 1 point below Coventry.

Tigger scored i believe, but four hours in the pub before kick off blured the memory of the match and much of the day:drunken:drunkenjocolordrunken

Trigger was a fair way out and it was at an angle... I'd deffo say 30 yards even if 40 is stretching it as bit.

Is it on-line anywhere, I wonder?

It was a great goal. Scored absolutely out of nothing.

I was at Highfield Rd for that Trigger goal, great finish, but if it was more than 25 yds out I'm a Chinaman.

I remember being at the Ricoh when Craig Noone scored his first goal for us, right at the end.

"Evans muscled the ball from veteran defender Richard Shaw 20 yards out, before launching a spectacular dipping volley over his nemesis Steele on 48 minutes."

20 yds!!?? Disingenious fuckers. Very Happy

Would it really have stuck in the memory as a spectacular lob...from 20 yards? scratch scratch scratch

That's just the edge of the penalty area for crying out loud.

In my mind, Trigger got hold of the ball in open play and caught the keeper napping with an audacious effort, stunning the majority of the crowd.

Revelling in the applause after to a few choruses of 'Henry of the Westcountry' cheers cheers cheers
