Is he on the clubs payroll out of interest? would be curious to find out. After all I cannot see how a internet forum like PASOTI could afford the services of such a person

More to the point, if he's a top lawyer he's likely to be very busy. Too busy I'd imagine to be moderating petty arguments on a football forum.

I think the more likely truth is that someone on the Farm Mod team over there knows an Argyle supporting solicitor who is happy to advise and therefore is given access to the Farm Mod room.

If the farm cannot afford to have an APP for Tablets, how can they afford a lawyer?

a lawyer requires being intelligent so that automatically rules out someone with such a job being moderator on the farm

The solicitor is genuine and he works for a reputable firm but I wouldn't say he is a "top lawyer". His career highlights on the firms web page are not particularly high, and if he was that good surely the first bit of advice he should of given Newell would be "get off the internet and stay off it".

He used to use the "Taft" mod account to have access to their discussions, but he was never a mod.

The twat pig seems a little upset with me, so I thought I might remind everyone of his previous threats.

The first time he threatened me with legal action was in January 2012 when Wrathall was invited onto the pitch as a guest of one of the match sponsors. The story that Newell told me was that the owner of a local taxi firm (and PAFC sponsor) was unhappy that Pasoti were getting first option on all the player sponsorships, most notably Darren Purse and Nick Chadwick. After Webb had mooted the question on Wrathall making a return (on Pasoti) and had received negative feedback, the taxi firm had realised that this would be a good way of pissing Newell off. So they invited Wrathall to HP and we all know what happened next.

At the time Jock was still on Pasoti (as Tynan's Jockstrap). Newell wanted to "out" the owner of the taxi firm but was too scared to do it himself. He set Jock up with the information, but in true Jock fashion he just printed the whole PM from Newell. In the PM, Newell calls the owner of the taxi firm a cnut.

A few minutes after this was posted I received my first phone call from the twatpig himself. He started off by saying "Sorry Frank, but we are having to go legal".
"Why is that?" I replied.
"Data Protection, Jock has printed my email".
"What section of the Data Protection Act have we breached?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" snorted Newell.
"I work with the DPA all the time, surely you know what section you are threatening me with?"
"We will find one" was his cryptic reply.

Once he realised I wasn't the slightest bit intimidated by his threats, he went on a foul mouthed rant and thought he would try and intimidate me that way. That didn't work either. He eventually calmed down enough to admit that he was scared of the owner of the taxi firm and feared for his safety. Whether this was true or not I don't know; knowing the twatpig he was probably more worried about getting in trouble at HP and was protecting his prawn sandwiches.

Suffice it to say, no legal action was taken.

I think the second set of legal threats came direct to the ATD email account from Newell himself. An official looking email appeared to be putting us on "notice" about libelous comments made about him. At first the email looked genuine, but closer inspection revealed that it appeared to be a load of bollocks. It was sent by Newell himself, but contained a lot of legal phrases and jargon in it. The mods at the time were confused as to why this "legal" notice had not come from Newell's solicitor. Why did his solicitor not want to put his name to it?

A few weeks later it all became clear. On Newell's Flickr account (you remember, the one where he stored 1000s of images and photos in breach of the DPA, that he claimed were for pasoti mod purposes), was a letter from a Pasoti user that had threatened legal action against Newell. All the twat pig had done was copy that and change a few sentences to fit his purpose.

The whole "£100k, but we will settle for £75k" joke comes from the time he threatened me with legal action after we banned Webb for being Greenman and The Spooner. After having to endure Webb on the phone for most of the day, I had a phone call from Nool just after finishing with Webb. Nool had no idea that I had been speaking to Webb and he contradicted everything that Webb and I had already gone over. Apparently Nool claimed that he had been with his solicitor all afternoon and that they thought they would get £100,000 for defamation of character, but that they would settle for £75,000. I was quite amused by this as only a few days previously the Daily Mirror had to pay the comedian Frankie Boyle £75k for calling him a racist in their newspaper. Clearly our crimes on ATD were on a par with that!!!!!

I am sure we all remember Ian De Lar. This is the "man" who claimed to be one of the users of the Greenman account on ATD.

Of course, he claims he wasn't the one who made the threats. Those were made by one of the other people he refuses to name. But he did keep quiet for long enough for Webb and Newell to name an innocent 18 year old employee of PAFC as the culprit. Thankfully nothing came of the lad being incorrectly accused but it would have been on De Lar's head had something happened to him.

Interestingly a high profile Argyle fan with ambition to be a MP told the 18 year old that Webb and Newell were behind the Greenman account (as confirmed by Webb's IP). The 18 year old was too scared to complain about it to PAFC as he feared for his job.

But hey, they find my name funny so I think that shows the intelligence of the type of people we are dealing with here

They [PASOTI] are alleged to be savvy with certain online practices and they can get it completely wrong too. We all know that it has been alleged that they [PASOTI] may be up to 'no good' regarding actual facts regarding individuals..

I wonder if Webb will mention any of that in his upcoming article next week on internet trolling.

Or maybe he'll explain all about his connection as "The Spooner". Despite denying ever having a multi account on here.

Maybe he'll mention how on the day The Spooner account was IP banned, Webb complained about not being able to access ATD from home.

There were only 4 other IP's that had been banned and they were long before The Spooner's was banned. All 4 had also been accounted for, either spammers or PT multi accounts.

So in short: Spooner IP banned>Webb complains he can't access ATD from home. Coincidence?
