110-3, Root (13) and Bell (36) going along nicely. Current England lead 233. At this rate the convicts will be chasing 400+ to win.

With rain forecast for Sunday and an unknown number of overs potentially lost, it will be interesting to see how England approach the rest of the match!

A fair old tonking indeed and the Aussies don't have much time to regrouo before the next one. Some of their players look pretty much spent forces-Haddin had a nightmare with gloves and bat, Watson was Watson, Johnson negated by the pitch-all looks good for England.

I have a horrible feeling that today will see the Aussies declare at 600/4 and us being 50/3 at the close.

But this is a very flat track and a fast outfield, so when we bat the Aussies are going to be very aggressive and runs should come quickly.

566-8 dec.

Currently 21-1. Lyth magnificently avoided a golden duck.
