| for me personally, long ago.................. but surely the penny has dropped that this Avivafesting, lacking in inspiration and class, excuse for a city football club is getting beyond a joke.
You can talk the talk and rattle buckets til the cows come home but the governance and ethos of the club is fatally flawed.
The combination of owner, jamboys and sullen Shez is a joke.
Enjoy the ride, if you're a plank . |

No idea, dear boy. I think it's now such a mess wherever you look, that only new owners of some substance and ambition could turn the club's fortunes around. The chances of that happening now, given the parlous state the club is in, are probably negligible. The unholy alliance of the reluctant one, the council, the 'erald and the bucket rattling superfans, is as depressing as it is predictably putrid for the football club. Chuck in a most uninspiring team manager, his ramshackle collection of backroom staff and failure is the almost certain outcome. Another season of crap and even the Aviva foot soldiers will start to lose interest. |

| People didn't believe me when I said how empty the terraces were after Dan the Mans tenure was coming to an end, that it hasn't happened yet is down to loyalty to the club not the incumbent owner, the restraint of fans angst towards Brent is what I can't understand, imagine this being put up with at Pompey, Leeds or Noocastle? |

I would take Dan back in a flash over the reluctant one. |

| Tha attendance figures have held up to 6/7k for two reasons imo. One is the result of recent Championsip football and the other is the bucket rattling, 'everybody wanting to be someone' culture encouraged by the reluctant one. He knows the nature of the beast and he feeds their ambition. It keeps the bucket rattling going, the tents full and above all else, helps keep the questioning and any organised criticism to a minimum. |

And Dan would not have tolerated idiots like newell and webb inside the sweetie shop. Tolerated Idiots apart what we have now shows immense promise. We have real options upfront now with Morgan (who I don't think is half as bad as everybody else seems to), Reid, Banton, Thomas, Alessandra and Smalley. That's almost an array of talent and I reckon most teams in this division would bite your hand off for them as a front 3 (and back-up) and we have a genuinely talented goalie. It's the gap between them that worries with the full backs concerning me most of all. But it is a team of strangers, relatively speaking, and they'll need a while to bed in as a cohesive unit but I am hopeful, edging towards confident, that they will. We have problems, fore shore, but the worst of them do not reside on the pitch. |

| I think we have some decent players and will go up this year. I like Sheridan, he's not the problem at the club. |

Just edging back from Womble's position a little but he and I are not so far apart.

Nobody ever won a league, or was relegated, after 4 games. 4 points from 4 games is barely adequate. Carry on like that and we'll have 46 points and probably be relegated. I expect us to improve. |

| I expect a relegation dogfight, a Devon relegation double with Exeter is a real possibilty. Promotion under Brent will never happen imo. |

| I don't think Brent genuinely gives a toss either way but appreciates that relegation would be a PR disaster for him.
As for whether he actually wants promotion... I guess that depends on how his spreadsheets add up. |

And if we are in an automatic or playoff position for the last 2 or 3 homes games of the season and the ground is sold out he runs the risk of the old capacity chestnut blowing up in his face which could also lead to uncontrollable lip quivering |
