Its all about pre season fitness not the result, said the supernerds two years ago under the Brazilian Carl Fletcher. Super Carl set us on the road to relegation i believe, before Brent eventually sacked him.The chances are you start off shit because shit is what you are!

2 - 2

Mellor equalises seconds after Weymouth's sub 'keeper Kyle Moore parried away a fierce shot from Oliver Norburn

Deane Smalley. He's on for Nathan Thomas

Jason Banton misses a sitter for Argyle, blazing the ball over from seven yards after doing all the hard work.

There's a landslip on the railway between Bath and Bristol. All lines blocked. This will affect all FGW Weymouth-Bristol trains.

Poor first half. Too lightweight, only Thomas carrying any goal threat. Morgan pitiful - only once managed to time his jump to coincide with the arrival of the ball.

Second half looked a bit more like it but as others have stated its all about the fitness.....

Meanwhile 8 miles up the road Dorchester 0 - Bournemouth 11. (0-8 H/T). Not looking good for El Jurassico at the end of August.

Yeah...

Never mind the scoreline.. How 'fit' did Bournemouth look?

In other news, Yeovil stuck 6 past Frome, who play in the same league as Weymouth. Yeovil made 11 changes at half time, to give all their first team squad a run out.

Would'nt it make sense for a straightforward striker swap with Weymouth - Morgan for Yetton?

Wonder what he would be like at centre back? He is a big unit.

Marvin seems like a nice guy but he is selected as a striker then he needs to regularly score if Argo are going for the big one, unfortunately he gives every impression that he will only occasionally meet the ball with his head as it flys towards the far post.
Sounds like he was shit last night so one for Sheridan to ponder on. confused

He can score goals though thats the point as his track records elsewhere show. Probabl a mixture of being more interested in his fashion brand and missing alot footy for us but i do agree he needs to step up and soon.

It is only a Pre-season friendly, getting players up to scratch before the main event kicks off on the 9th August.

I never read much into Pre-Season friendlies...

i agree with you fully.

besides what can you learn about your squad from a 5-1 walkover against tavistock?
at least with a 2-2 draw against Weymouth you can pick up one or two flaws and work on them as part of the prep work for the new season.

Morgan and Blizzard will be here because noone else will have them, more than likely. I am pretty sure neither would have had a contract offer if Sheridan hadn't given them 2 year deals.

I used to run there once a week from Poole, there is a pub on the quay called The Moorings. Moorings should always be checked on a regular basis.
