Herald says he is training with League 1 Chesterfield- I think he turned them down last season and joined us (pity)-
FORMER Plymouth Argyle midfielder Rommy Boco is training with newly-promoted League One outfit Chesterfield.
Boco was released by the Pilgrims at the end of last season after only one season at Home Park.
The 29-year-old has linked up at Chesterfield with Paul Cook, who was previously his manager at Accrington Stanley.
Boco played for the Spireites when they beat Matlock Town 4-1 in a pre-season game on Wednesday.
Cook said: "He’s a good friend of mine. With him not having a club it's an opportunity for him to come and train with us.
"We are looking for players as everyone knows, if Rommy can get his fitness and enjoys training with us you never know in football.
"No-one ever knows that. It’s not something we are actively trying to do at the minute, but you never know."
