Cerbera As Zee has said it will be 50ft x 30ft. It will cost around £3,500. We will be making an announcement in the coming days but it looks as if we will be in a position to pay for it ASAP thanks to some outstanding donations. Chris |

| Excellent!
What is the design going to be?
Is it going to be trotted out at every match? I know Exeter only put out their Stansfield shirt on special occasions, the last being their cup match against Liverpool.
I love these things, look bloody impressive. Just don't go for overkill. |

| bit extreme this ultras idea has only been tried once and wasnt a blinding success. would it not be be good business sense to see if the group idea will really take off after a period of time before spending fans money on a flag that may probably be file in a storage along with the pasoti flag that was bought a year or two ago. |

The flag is part of growing the Group Phenom so yes it is important to get it asap. |

I love these things, look bloody impressive. Just don't go for overkill. The design is being worked up and will be kept under wraps for maximum impact........we'll make sure everyone who have contributed £ is happy with it. I think we will use it regularly but over a period of time we will get more flags / banners and mix up which ones we use. The idea will be for the 'average' game to keep the flag in blocks 3/4 but maybe take it on a tour of the ground when we have a big game. |

We shall see PP, by the way if you had been to Home Park in recent times you may have noted that the Green Army flag is on display in blocks 15/16. |

Exactly... What happened to that flag? Lying on the floor in Cowdrys office more than likely? Why isn't that flag being used by the Forza? Mind you... El Presidente might not know about it? It was bought early last season wasn't it - before the Prez signed up for Pasoti? |

| But it doesn't do a lot, does it. That's my point, it's like a dust sheet. Smithy ( not X isle ) spent a lot of time and effort getting the funds together and arranging it's manufacture. I would have hoped it was included in your big flag thing..... or is the Green Army old hat now, brand wise ? |

The flag is part of growing the Group Phenom so yes it is important to get it asap. but would it not make sense to give lets say 2-3games first to see if the group really does take off and not die out before spending £3500 on a flag that may bomb like the old one. not saying a flag isnt a good idea i just think its too early to justify paying for a giant flag when the group has established a stable following.

| In all seriousness Chris, if you want to improve the atmosphere, big flags laying on seats just doesn't do it.... that's just a sop to the idea of a flag, they're made so they can be WAVED, AND by the people that made them. The sad flags draped all over England stadia seats is pointless, and one of the things I find sad about modern crowd control.
Just what is the maximum size WAVEABLE flag allowed to be brought in by fans ? ... that's a serious question. What you really want to encourage is individual fans to be able to bring in their own flags ( and I don't mean the stupid little things that are sold by vendors ) through a specific entrance where they can be checked for bombs, poisonous fumes, WMD and life threatening diseases. Is your idea to have flags waved by just licensed people ? ... if so, it wwwwwWILL flop. I do think the atmosphere needs improving, but the club needs to trust the fans to do their own thing and relax some of the restrictions that are obviously there in the background. |

I did read your post - it was posted in the few minutes it took to write mine - I just couldn't be arsed to change it.. Anyway you avoided the real question of why not use the flag we currently have (for starters) and save 3500 quid that could go to the "staff fund" for Christmas, or to repay the Trust with? And... Oohh.. The old "attend a game" Jibe! You know I attend games and yet you delibrately write that in an attempt to wind me up. I know this because you told me during our video skype coversation when I questioned you about it, didn't you? It doesn't wind me up when you say it. Because I get the chance to show you're just like Newell. You will say and do anything even when you know its a lie. And you're the club president? Are you reading Mr. Brent? |

They'll have to check the flags to see if any ex-directors are being smuggled in inside one. |

| Of course Ricks makes a good point about the old flag. It could be re jigged at a third of the price. But then it wouldn't be totally Chris's baby, would it. We've just come out of administration, we're supposed to be entering the worst Western economic depression ever, and yet some still cannot see the value of making do and using existing resources to create our future. Obviously some egos are exempt from the need to be frugal... that's obviously for others... it always is. |

Obviously some egos are exempt from the need to be frugal. The money for the flag will be paid to a Company and some of that paid to the companies employees and they will spend it in the shops and so on ..... My idea for saving the banks ( off subject I know ) was that the money should not have been given to the banks but to the people who would spend it and it eventually would end up in the Banks anyway . Inflation would soar but hey we would all have a good time in the meantime ..... |

It will definitely be spent in shops, pubs and some dodgy campervan porn sites and it will greatly enhance the lives of not only myself, but the local economy too. |

| As a matter of interest have those suggesting how the money is spent invested any of theirs in it cos like if you haven't .... He who pays the piper etc . ( Yes I'll get panned for that I know ).
As for The Ladies team that will be sorted for sure . The movement has begun the Ladies team will be saved .
BOTH can be done .
