| Anyone know of prices/deals for the boat trips aroun the sound and naval base.
I'm thinking of taking the missus 10 year old nephew to plymouth for the day. Any other ideas for places to visit ?
Obviously I won't inflict the theatre of green nightmares on the poor kid |

| Aquarium is worth a visit, especially if the weather is bad. |

| The best boat trip is the Calstock run.
On a sunny, calm day there can't be many more beautiful journeys to make anywhere in the world. |

| Here you are Tamar Cruising
I'd also recommend the Calstock one if it's running - knocks spots off any of the others (and you still get to see the dockyard and warship) |

| Calstock is a nice run, Tamar cruising also do a trip to Cawsands from Elphinstone. Calstock is reliant on tides though so make sure you book. |

| How about Cornwall's forgotten corner ? If you like a good walk, take the Cremyll Ferry to Mt Edgecombe, walk to Cawsand/Kingsand and up to Rame Head. You can get a ferry from Cawsand to the Barbican if you have a couple at lunchtime and don't want to walk back. |

| Bleddy good shout that Tring, we used to call it the school ferry, when I went to school in Crownhill we used it as an alternative bus route when the weather was nice. |

| Isn't Navy days now shared with Portsmouth? Each city hosting it on alternative years. |
