I sometimes wonder whether you have actual eyes like the rest of us Elias? What did you see tonight? I saw a re creation of what happened on the pitch replayed on a tv screen in a computer graphic style which clearly showed the first rebound off the bar staying out hence no goal, then the ball goes to goalie
Who then palms the ball over the line which is then rightly declared a goal. Much better than the old system which saw us sent home when playing the Germans when Lamps' effort was two feet over the line, dare I mention the hand of God? Bad decisions have cost us progression in most tournaments and I don't remember benefiting from any going our way. I'm all for it.

I will say though...

The 'technology' showed tv viewers a clear gap between the line and the ball - its not even close to touching.

And yet... None of the tv coverage that I saw, showed the ball being clearly over the line at all?

Anybody have good footage of the incident?

One angle they showed looked to me like it was clearly over the line, it was when the ball was highest off the ground, but they didn't show it frame for frame or for any amount of time. I thought it a goal but wouldn't bet my house on it.

I agree with Rickler, to the naked eye it didn't look a goal, can the Germans technology be trusted ?

oh dear. it was declared a goal then not a goal then a goal. surely tv evidence would declare IMMEDIATELY that a goal had been scored not a pantomine oh yes it is oh no it isnt senario!

I get your point on that but it's a new technology and I don't think people understand it yet. Maybe as you suggest they should put up the goal or no goal first then show their reasoning. Like I say I am in favour of it because the amount of times we have been dicked because of bad decisions (cough BRIBERY OF OFFICIALS.)
