Dutch v Divers, apart from Robben, and good conquers evil.

Modern footballers are ruthless. Robben's goal to make it 5 was a point in case - he didn't have to even run for that ball but he sprinted, late in the game, 60 yards to make it 5-1 in the opening fixture - he didn't have to do it but he did. Holland were ruthless.
I doubt Holland will win the tournament but they've thumped Spain and finishing top of that group will avoid Brazil.
The Dutch front three are all World Class and that was the difference. Diego Costa was dreadful and Torres did his usual.
Having said that, Spain lost against Switzerland last time and won the tournament.

Eloquent as usual Yea Man - not sure it's a LOL though. I hate that smiley - grinds my gears.

Given how dominant Spain have been for the past 6 years, that was brutal stuff from Holland. I was looking through the line-ups and the dutch looked really average, Ron Vlaar at the back plays for Aston Villa etc but he and the rest of them were excellent.

I do wonder how David Silva feels after that miss when Spain were 1-0 up though. 2-0 obviously would have led to things being very different!

I missed the best game so far by the sound of it.
