| Let's hope this heralds* the dawn of an era of proper investigative journalism in Plymouth, starting with some questions about how the council makes decisions about major development schemes. I won't hold my breath.
*see what I did there? |

| The cracks are appearing, he has got too much on his plate, he doesn't have the experience to deliver these kinds of projects and he is being found out. Why don't people like him ever appear on rogue traders? |

| No conspiracy theories here .... but I've tried 5 times to get onto that page and 3 times I was told something like "too many redirects - try again later". I tried again later & twice I was warned that malware was to be found on that page. I managed it earlier this morning. Anyone else had problems? |

| The Herald site is heavily loaded with pop-ups and embedded stuff that starts automatically. That's probably why you get malware warnings.
(It also shows that your protection is more protective than mine!)
The Herald site is so loaded with stuff that it is more or less unusable. I go there as infrequently as is possible.
I can only apologise for linking to it but I don't think there is anything terribly malicious there even if it is a complete PITA. |

| In the same article it also mentions what happens when you deal with professional developers: - Quote :
- Work is already underway on the Fernham flats after the site was sold to McCarthy and Stone. The income from this has gone to a special account over which Torbay Council has control.

To my knowledge JB hasn't shafted anyone out of any money yet. Convincing the council to sign over the freehold to Home Park to AKKERON, before any contracts were signed, before the supplies, and materials, and builders were in.. well PCC weren't exactly coerced into it were they? |

I certainly know of one local company who are owed substantial amounts and are getting extremely twitchy. |
