Rovers relegated. If i were a Rovers fan,i'd keep well away from any Bristol City site for the foreseeable future. Not good for Argyle really though, them and Torquay going down means two less big gates next season.Bit of trouble at the Mem after the game, tempers frayed as the fans vented their spleens at the directors-wonder if the relegation will affect their new stadium plans? See we finished 10th in the end-progress of sorts but still a bitter disappointment and as others have said much strengthening is needed in the summer.Next stop is the retaind list on Tuesday, should be interesting. Well done to Reid and Hourihane BTW,some years since we had a striker and midfield player contributing so well in terms of goals scored. |

| Lovely day chaps. Has a Pompey tour of real ale pubs along Albert Road followed by meeting up with Jock and Tivvy.
Great atmosphere and a good game although more due to crap players rather than quality play.
All in all a good old fashioned cracking day out.

Geddon Avivas That's a really crap "just back" Dicky Boy. I'm afraid ATD will have to send you for tutorage to young De-Liar. At least one proper "occasion" this season, who'll be first back to the big time (3rd Division) us or Pompey?? |

| What a virtually perfect day to end the season, if only Wotts had got an even later winner Aside from football the atmosphere and the banter with the home fans was brilliant, all in good humour and capped off with old skool mutual appreciation applause as we left. PROPER support, all round. Not sure if the escorted 'EDL' sorts afterwards were ours or theirs but what knobbers, totally against the spirit of the day, brooding and posturing while being 'kettled' by a flimsy ring of coppers. If you're that hard then break out FFS As for the game it was a typically frustrating performance whilst nevertheless ending well. Pompey looked sharper and more 'up for it', we looked leaden footed and virtually devoid of forward purpose by comparison, especially early on. Things gradually improved and a few players stood out. Lewi, Nelse, Reid but foremost among them was captain Connor. In saying goodbye to one legend, great to see Wotts get on, I reckon we've got another in the making. He was cool and calm in possession and rescued our dithery defence on more than one occasion, but the final goal was a comedy gold moment, worthy of legendary status in itself..... We won the corner and he placed the ball outside the corner markings. The Pompey fans went nuts at him so he moved in inside ironic cheers. He then moved it out again causing them to go into stratospheric levels of nuts and us to cheer and repeated the piss-take again before delivering the corner. Queue goal, and where does he choose to celebrate?, right in front of the self same section of Pompey fans. Genius, might only be a little thing and maybe it was only me but I loved it. He's turned me right round, I wanted him out post Dorchester, thought he was a petulant and reckless tw@t. Fair play to the lad, he's made me change my mind, something very few have ever done. Thomas too was a plus. Banton was completely anonymous then seemed to injure himself falling over the ball. Thomas promptly did more in the next two minutes than 'T-shirt boy' managed all game. He brought some purpose to proceedings and fizzed over a few good crosses. He looks the part. First look at Enoch - toilet. Lazy and doesn't jump, hope never to see him in a green shirt again. All in all a great day, bring on next season. We've got 50% of a good side, an improvement on the 25% or so we've had at the conclusion of recent seasons past. We need to ship out quite a few and add quality to compliment the good we undoubtedly have though. One thing though, does anyone know who the 'roly-poly little bat faced boy'* was with the Hawaiian shirt down to the right? The lad was going totally banzai all game long, quite what he was soooo angry about was hard to fathom. I'm all for passion, and he was funny, but chill pilgrim FFS, with HIS frame and THAT attitude he's just one 'eff or jeff' away from an all too early serious coronary episode *bastardised copyright acknowledgement to Paul Simon. |

| As an aside, it's interesting to see that we took roughly as many supporters away as Accrington had in their whole crowd today. Truly the Green Army are great! |

How many, Knecht? FFS! I didn't think this would be a test! I think we took about 1800 and Accrington had a gate of just under 1900. Sleeping giants us. |

Well done to Reid and Hourihane BTW,some years since we had a striker and midfield player contributing so well in terms of goals scored. I have had a look on the BCFC forums and they are in heaven, as would be expected. Apparently, there were 30 or so BCFC fans in the away end at the Memorial ground. |

| Unfortunately we attracted the numbskulls who come out for games of this type, posture enough to be identified, get babysat back to the station by the police and then whinge that "it would have gone off if it wasn't for the police intel" pricks.
Had the misfortune of sharing a carriage with them back to Southampton Central. These were classy and taunted a girl who allegedly had fathered a child by Bhasersa. Went off a bit in the away end (to be fair she had lost it) and they escorted a couple out who then missed the equaliser.
On second thoughts of course I should have asked her if she had Pasoti's trophy!
All in all a good day out. Banter and real ale, a feisty atmosphere in the ground, great comedy for the equaliser and shared a bevvy with Jock and Tivvy.
Thomas brought a real threat when he came on, defending from both teams were awful and how Enoch has made a career as a footballer is beyond me. |

I hope they washed their hands after using facilities I was reading the Beeb news just now, in Brazil a rival fan killed another fan by hurling a toilet at him from a higher level and three Italian fans were injured by gunfire, makes a stroll around the pitch look a bit lame. |

He hasn't logged in for a month Iggs. I know he's an obnoxious phucker but at least he stirred debate every so often and stood his ground rather admirably. Hope he's alive and well and just having a 'break'.... |
