| For you to come out and publicly state to the fans and the people of Plymouth that you will back Sheridan in achieving promotion next season. Your manager has said post match yesterday that he will build a promotion winning team NEXT SEASON, as a longstanding fan alongside thousands of others I want to see a press release on behalf of yourself and the board that it is your clear aim to win promotion NEXT SEASON. I fear we might be disappointed by your response - prove us wrong! |

| You're going to believe what Brent says in that regard? |

A very good point which others may reply with, my main point is that he should be challnged hard by Argo fans to say something NOW, on a personal note I do not trust his media statements or his intent re PAFC. |

| The Offish Twat-Handle twooted that Brent had interesting words in the Proggy-ram about the Dentists, Ice rink, nandos, school, ministand development. Anyone buy that rag care to elaborate? |

| I actually believed him when he said at the Guildhall meeting that his aim was to make the club financially independent, playing in the championship and involving the fans. Either he was incredibly naive in making these claims or never intended to keep his end of the bargain - it's clear that the wellbeing of PAFC is way down his list of priorities.
What's the point of making yet another false statement. |

| Brent is doing what he has done since day one, he is playing the gullible card to a shrinking gullible fan base. Believe it or not there are still a few that will be taken in by it. |

| A manager with a bit of spark would help too. No wonder the players are often lack lustre, if he speaks to them like he presents physically and verbally to the media. |

I bought one and here's what Mr Brent has to say (if the scan works OK). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Cheers Franners.
In all, it still sounds quite positive and even given for the spin, this season has been undeniably better than last.
A break-even cash forecast for 2014-15 is mildly interesting.
The bit about the grandstand seems really confused, though - and this is the bigger picture. Surely a 16k completed brentstand would leave us in a worse position than the 20.5k(?) capacity we had last time we got promoted there? Even if the corporate side is as good as (say) Exeter Chiefs', it wouldn't make up for the 6 or 7 times we went well over a 16k attendance (not to mention in later seasons)...would it?! |

But then,it couldn't have been a problem when Argyle took 45 points from 26 games up to the Accrington game, which is when the wheels started coming off,or when Chesterfield won this division a couple of years ago under Sheridan's management.I would say that the plain truth is that the squad is not good enough, either in terms of quality in depth or handling pressure when it comes to the crunch.Next season is a make or break one as he himself admits-he needs to be given reasonable backing, which to my mind would involve bringing in players of the quality of Cox and Lavery [two players who would certainly have ensured that Argyle reached at least the play offs this season] and not just as stop gap measures either-they need to be signed on a basis with an eye to team building for the division above as well.If Sheridan still doesn't get the club at least in the play offs, then i'll agree it would be time for a change. But i think the guy deserves a chance to truly build his own squad-if a neutral person was on the outside looking in,then he/she would probably say that lifting a club from being doomed to the conference [which Argyle undoubtedly were] to the fringes of the play offs actually isn't bad. It's been the crushing disappointment of the past 6 matches that has turned many against Sheridan, understandably so,i suppose-he had created high expectations [and rightly so] which have been almost cruelly thwarted for fans who have put up with 6 years of utter garbage but it isn't always as simple as being entirely the management's fault.Anyway it should be an interesting summer which will establish in which direction the club will go in the next few years. |

| Sheridan will be here next season and he has the experience and credibility in the game to build a promotion winning team, next season will be the real test of his talk and ambition. It still comes down to whether Brent and the board back J.S in the market. So far there this season there has been no indicators from the board of real ambition to go up. |
