| Pleased for Rochdale, they've always been gracious hosts.
Wish we'd got their manager when the opportunity arose. |

Classic. Unlike the match.End of season fare, don't think there was a yellow card in the match which probably sums it up.Cracker from Banton about the one real positive, the performance reflected Argyle's weaknesses in a nutshell, lack of ruthlessness to kill off a team who were there for the taking and a ridiculous error to gift them a point.Big changes must be made,Argyle could still unbelievably finish in ninth position but there is no way that the current squad will make any sort of progress next year-it's run it's race and needs a major overhaul.According to James Brent in an interview in the programme today, money will be provided for the manager to "enhance" the squad-lets hope that indeed proves to be the case. |

Wish we'd got their manager when the opportunity arose. Bit of horse swapping there? Thought i remembered you telling all and sundry to grow some conkers and stop knee jerking when they criticised Sheridan on PASOTI.If Shez reads PASOTI or ATD [which i would very much doubt he does],he must be thinking "with friends like you......... |

Time for Marvin to call it a day - he would even lose in a race to the ball against Wottsy. |

Nope, some selective memory there at best, if i'm being charitable. January 2013 and I was firmly in the Keith Hill camp, I wanted him over Sheridan, all ends up. It's been my consistent viewpoint. Having arrived however i've been pleased with the progress Sheridan has overseen, as much as some would try and deny it we're a stronger unit now than we were before he arrived. Ergo he has my support as the incumbent Argyle manager until such time as he fails, and this season has NOT been a failure. Could he do better?, might someone else have done better?, that's a different story, everyone has their own opinion. Where I was happy-slapping knee-jerking surrender monkeys was back in October when they were demanding he be sacked. Criticising selection, tactics, signings is one thing, calling for the manager to be sacked when he'd not yet had a fair crack of the whip and there were glimpses of a team coming together is quite another thing. So irrespective of my preference for Keith Hill, you don't throw out the baby with the bath water for want of a bit of patience. Demonstrably however Hill got more out of Rochdale than Sheridan has out of Argyle, hence the comment. Sheridan is our manager though and he's done OK, he has my support. That I think Hill would've been a better choice changes nothing. |

Fair enough.Don't think it would have been as simple as Hill taking over and everything in the garden turning rosy though. He took over a better side at Rochdale and would seem to be ideally suited to that club, where expectations are not as great as they are at Argyle-far smaller club frankly,he does seem to be one of those managers who excel at a particular club, good luck to him. There is also the fact that, for whatever reason, ex players occupying the Home park hotseat have not been very successful in the past,as Messrs Saxton,Hodges,Hore,Mariner and Fletcher have found to their sometimes career ending cost. |

| Indeed. While the realistic options available at the time (Sheridan, Hill and Brown) made Hill my first choice it was all pretty academic anyway though as he wanted to stay 'oop north. |

| Why did he submit a job application then?
Did he think Plymouth had drifted to somewhere north of Birmingham since he was here? |

| I thought Hill was sorting out a compensation deal with Barnsley and so wasn't able to join a club before that was finished with or else he'd lose out on that. Whereas Argyle wanted to act quicker and so went for Shez. That was my understanding. |
