Quote.....'The Archbishop of Canterbury has waded into the row about the role of religion in British society by saying the number of empty pews in churches means the nation is not a Christian one'.
I personally see this as the Archbishop not being able to see beyond the end of his own pews.....outside of the Anglian church pews are history....pews suggest unmovable obstacles that restrict the use of space,that basically cannot be used for anything but meetings.
Out in the real world there are churches that are not stagnating like the Anglican church....it's so depressing to see the man who the establishment see as the top religious leader in the country, who cannot see what is happening outside of his unaffordable church buildings......where all their money goes on keeping buildings open,even though there isn't enough ministers to lead each dwindling congregations.
