Or Mourinho. He brown nosed Ferguson enough last season. |

| Moyes' biggest mistake was in thinking he could step into the boots of the legend that is Ferguson. It was doomed to failure. If we needed another indication of the shift in power in football towards making money and the primacy of players this is an underlining of those facts. |

| Poor old Moyes, fecked up big time for not living up to an underfunded dream of a few million plastics, lolorama. Hell slope off to count his £10million now, for failing! I've been sacked off jobs before where the suits have fecked up and I haven't even been paid my last weeks wages. I used to think that graft was honourable, I just think that it's stupid now. Work yourself into an early grave so that you can support a system that pays £10m to someone who fails? Is this the banking industry? I am struggling to support football at all nowadays, am I the only supporter with a conscience and morals? |

| I read this morning that there was a clause in his contract that said he would receive a year's salary in compensation - so that's "only" £4.5 million.
I agree. I also struggle to recognise the upper echelons of football as a sport nowadays. It's only when something like this happens that my interest is stimulated.
As for failing .... he'll probably finish 7th in a season of rebuilding. That's clearly not good enough for the fans force-fed on the notion of "We're the best" who follow in droves from the far-flung corners of the world, let alone the UK. It's also not good enough for the Glazers who are businessmen first & foremost.
Ferguson, who has been arguably the most successful manager in British football, was given time to achieve that. Moyes wasn't. That's a measure of how football has changed. |

| A present for Dane?-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/David-Moyes-Chosen-One-Manchester-United-Banner-/321385852709?pt=UK_SportsMemorabilia_Football_Memorabilia_ET&hash=item4ad416ef25
For Sale:
David Moyes "Chosen One" Banner.
One previous owner, well used, highly sought after and will soon be a relic.
After an 10 months stint in one of the countries top jobs (I should know), David Moyes was sacked as Manager of Man United on 22/04/14, when the NYSE opened. This banner was the subject of many arguments and it was even protected by security for fear of being torn down by angry, angry fans... Fans who wanted the poor David's head.
Please be aware that this is in fact, second hand and I will accept no returns as this is sold as seen. It may have various "F**K off" writing on it, or cigarettes stubbed out on it, it may even have some greenies on it, but overall it is in decent nick.
I will take this Banner today and I will deliver it to you, at your door. I leave for America soon to take up teaching, but all-in-all, I should fit in the time to get this in.
Watch this space for future Banners such as, "The Gagging One", "Louis-eh Van-eh Gaal-eh!" and "Welcome to United Thin Spanish Waiter".
I will set a Buy it Now for 64.1 Million on this item and for that, I will throw in Tom Cleverl-eh!

My thoughts also, Tringers. My ass was lambasted on here for suggesting Moyes was the wrong choice. |

| Ryan Giggs has been appointed Manchester Utd's caretaker manager, given that he's a specialist in playing away from home. |

| Moyes out - Giggs in.
At least it guarantees 8 years of success away from home. |

| What's the difference between David Moyes & the captain of the South Korean ferry?
The ferry captain knew when to jump ship. |

| Giggs will have a more "hands-on" approach as interim manager.
First order of business is a "bring your wife to work day" |

| Following David Moyes sacking, Louis Van Gaal is tipped to take over at Manchester United and will bring in some new faces to the team. Wayne Rooney has asked, "Can I have one?"
