| Let me guess...the situation is worse than he thought possible (deflection of blame onto previous owners)...the club is in the crap wouldn't be there if the fans had turned up in more numbers (deflection of blame onto customers)...he is tied up by what he is allowed to do (deflection of blame onto FA rules)...the results on the pitch should still be better (deflection of blame onto manager dealt shit hand). |

You can if he doesn't improve things fairly quickly. |

| Difference being PNE are subbed to the tune of £750,000/ month by their owner whereas our old consisted of a bunch of local chancers hoping to get rich off the South Koreans training on their old cricket ground, a bunch of not so local chancers lending the club a fortune in the hope they could rich get from student accomodation and casino's and an even less local chancer who probably thought he was investing in Portsmouth. The minute we didn't get the world cup and access presumably to FA money, the baby was chucked out with the bathwater and Ridsdale was called in by Stapleton/Todd to try and protect individual directors interests. Apparently he was told there were "cashflow problems", which then turned in to £17 million of debt, the local directors hung in there as long as they could before we had to submit to administration and Peter Ridsdale running the show.
Hemmings has at least kept the club in existence, although some supporters wish he would put in enough to make it worth watching. As we all know mere subsistence is pretty depressing so I assume Ridsdale will be there to direct the flack away from TH as austerity rules. Whether his remit is to sell the club or just reduce overheads I don't know but its not good news for PNE fans and I daresay he'll be picking up a decent salary whilst he's there.
Hello everyone.

| I was thinking that Hemmings is rich enough and fed up enough to just get rid of the whole sheebang for a quid. You never know the buyer may even offer to repay the debt on a deferred basis which the fans could support to allow for investment in the team at an early stage (or some such other bullshit).
I wonder if "Reidy" will catch up with "Browny" for a Christmas drink and a discussion about footballing gents. |

| Wonder what odds you would get on Paul Hart as next Preston manager? Or Guilfoyle turning up sometime soon with Jamie Hart to "advise" how to sell their best players for £2.79 and a packet of pork scratchings? |
