Well, that wasn't a 0 2 match.

First half was fairly even, both teams carved out chances. Hourihane had one well saved while Alessandra shot over the bar. Mcsheffry found a chance for them

In the second half, I thought we were actually largely the better side. Cole made a splendid save to keep them out, then it became one way traffic.

Hourihane sent in a lovely ball, Alessandra's connection was sweet but it hit the post and he couldn't quite convert the rebound. We continued to create chances, Blanchard and Reid both went close from corners. Young had a shot well stopped while Blizzard should have done better with an effort.

We were tiring though, and crying out for subs, they weren't made. Parsons (who was extremely poor) out of position for their first, an easy ball in to the box and a decent connection, a gutting 1 0. Then, 10 minutes late, the 3 subs were made.

We continued to come at them, Alessandra again hitting the post, and Luke young scuffing a good oppurtunity. The second goal was lucky, off the post, hit Cole's head and went in.

Dissapointing, BUT, we are much improved, and we did well today.

Cole - 8
Berry - 8
Blanchard - 6
Trotman - 7
Nelson - 8
Parsons - 4
Blizzard - 6
Hourihane - 8
Young - 7
Reid - 7
Alessandra - 9

Morgan - 6
Obadeyi - 6
Gurrieri - 7

Green army - 10!

Thanks for good synopsis, nicely summed up for those of us who can't be there. Sounds positive performance considering the result. Rather have WLWW sequence.

Haha! Cole was good today, and did nothing wrong, the OG was just lucky for Scunthorpe.

And simao yes, despite the result, a good display, we've played a lot worse and won.

Always got to be someone to slag off. Parsons was fine, played like a loan player from a higher division clearly better than most on the pitch does just about enough without putting himself out.
