Branston passes his sell by date.

He's a dinosaur. Massive head like a lego man, turning circle of a jumbo jet and distributed the ball like a muck spreader. Not sad to see him go - he had attitude and was a loud voice on the pitch - not much else.

Did a good job for us last season imo.

A few interesting thinly veiled references from Branston to the budget or lack-of during today's commentary.

Yet there's a piece on him in the programme. This club.....

Can't believe Torquay aren't getting in there. He was the rock we built our survival campaign on 12 months ago.

We're in a bit of a pickle.

He was on air with Sparksey, quite a breath of fresh air on that channel. He told Sparksey off for bigging Young up. He said fair enough Young is a player with a lot of potential but praising him whenever he NEARLY makes a pass does us or him no favours at all, he said when he makes those passes and hits someone on the noggin every time then he will go to the CCC, whilst he doesn't he's no better than any other lower league player.

Very true. I heard that and chuckled.
A good schoolmate of mine that ended up captaining England schools u18 was always passing the ball without a thought for the guy on the receiving end. He wasn't the worst player in our team, but if you can't weight the ball properly, you might as well not bother. His over hit passes regularly finding touch were always accompanied by his usual "unlucky son!", implying you didn't have the pace to get to the ball. Not his fault of course.

He's out for the season with his injury....so no good to Torquay in their predicament.
