PostSubject: Minor Debts   Minor Debts EmptyMon Jan 27, 2014 10:19 pm

I am mildly interested in purchasing a house, ahem, another estate at some point this year (fore shore).

I did a quick credit check earlier and there is a debt of about £130 owed to 'Lowells'.

Err, who the foook are these chumps? I vaguely remember potentially owing Orange once. But I swear I paid like £20 a month. There's no way I ever owed that much.

Do I:

a) ignore forever and try and build up enough positive credit history to make it insignificant?
b) ring Lowells and try to negotiate it?
c) wank furiously in a caravan for the rest of my fookin life?

The caravan option is undoubtedly an attractive option, who are Lowells?

If there has been no contact they cannot have a bearing of your caravan yet.
Give them a ring from your Mother in Law's phone.

Ignore it. It's nothing significant.

That company are well known and hoover up many "debts".
The last thing you do is contact them. Only a problem in raising a mortgage should stir your stumps.
Stick to the estate, give the main gates a fresh coat of paint, and buff up the drive .... always impresses mortgage brokers.

Take out a wonga loan to pay the debt off then pay that one off with a pounds to pockets loan you should easily be able to pay one loan off with another until you buy a house and build up enough equity to pay them all off, seems to be the model that a lot of people use.

They are bunch of monkeys who buy up written off debts from companies like Orange and just write letters in the hope that someone is scared enough to cough up. Dont contact them, how old is the debt?
