Trottman would be silly not to sign

Seems lackin in ambition to only offer him a contract till the end of the season.

Budget is speaking volumes to me. I guess Brentie really doesnt want a good side taking away buisness from his nando's

I can't think why his contract extension is so short. He's young enough to have several years ahead of him, has been consistently good since joining the club, popped a few goals in and has formed a good partnership with Curtis Nelson which could run and run for years and would certainly be base to build a stronger team from even if we were to be promoted.

The only stumbling block might be money and the sound of alarm bells will linger if he doesn't sign on for us.

If he leaves then it'll be down to the club not meeting his expectations, and I don't just mean money but in security and length of contract too, and I wouldn't blame him if he did.

Maybe the philanthropist is going to try and run an Agency team next year, and doesn't want to be responsible for holidays. Sounds like number crunching to me.

A good player by all accounts but the length of contract is a worry.

If he can't get more than a 6 month contract as a free agent, he can't be that good.
However, Sheridan will be happy to keep hold of a player he has bedded in.

In the games I've seen he's been our best defender- goodish news but why only 6 months?
