I have to agree they played well. But they were equally as bad for most of the game at Wimbledon albeit they got an undeserved draw.
I think the faith I had in Sheridan to make a presidents purse of a sow ears was correct despite some wobbly moments. Still concerned it sometimes looks like throwing loanee after loanee at the problem until he gets the right answer.
I think the dividend is gained by having players playing at a level below themselves. McCormick, Lavery and now Reid being good examples. It was the basis of Luggy's success and could work again.
This league continues to be so so awful and even the best teams being only mediocre that getting out of it shouldn't beyond the wit, tactical nouse, luck and cheque book of a board that wants to go for it.
