a month we should have gone for the rest of the season for stability but never the less good news to end the year with.

I'm sure Sherry did want him until the end of the season but Wednesday aren't doing too well at the moment so probably need to keep their options open..........and a 24 hour recall clause.  raised eyebrow

I'm sure you're right Jack. It's basically a snub. They obviously wanted a much longer loan but Argyle are so desperate, they'll take any crumbs they can get. It just opens the door for the usual last minute Jan 31 scramble for the sweepings off the floor. Dear oh dear.

Probably doesn't knuckle down to the hard graft in training....thinks he knows it all and does his own thing....obviously not a George Best.

I think this wound a few people up but it was kind of true

JASON Banton is set to return to Crystal Palace following a loan spell at Milton Keynes Dons.

The Dons are currently preparing for an FA Cup third round tie against Wigan Athletic, but the winger won't be staying in Buckinghamshire any longer, according to boss Karl Robinson.

There is a chance Banton could feature for Palace at West Bromwich Albion should boss Tony Pulis decide to change his squad around, but it is likely the 21-year-old will be sent out on loan elsewhere this month.

Plymouth Argyle are thought to be interested in taking Banton on loan again like last season where he made a good impression.

Lavery out at the end of Jan to be replaced by Banton is my guess.

Banton isn't an out and out goalscorer as Lavery appears to be, both would be nice though, does Jimmy really want promotion ? time will tell.

This is what MK Dons thinks of Mr Banton

Jason Banton ‏@JasonBanton 19h
Don't understand why so many fans tweet me talking about attitude? You know my NAME not my STORY!
· Andy Marfleet ‏@Andy_Marfleet 19h
@JasonBanton It's because on the pitch you look like you don't give a flying feck. Maybe if you did we would feel like we do with Bamford

· James Collett ‏@collett_93 19h
@JasonBanton Close the door on your way out!

· Laaaaay ‏@Tom_Lay27 18h
@JasonBanton you could be a good player but you act like a cnut and embarrass yourself

· Laaaaay ‏@Tom_Lay27 7h
@JasonBanton Mind the step on your way out you wanker

If we lose Bencherif, Blackman, Reckord and Chadwick (all of which seem likely to go even if they some are still "here") and possibly Obadeyi too then the very welcome re-arrival of Banton is the very least we can expect because if there is a budget in any meaningful sense it can hardly be exhausted.

Loans and the unemployed its the speccy way, any minor success we may have will be down to sheridan, despite the developer, not because of.

Crystal Palace Transfer Gossip: Hennessey, Crouch, Etherington, Banton, Parsons

Players linked with moves away from Palace are duo Jason Banton and Matt Parsons - on loan.

It is believed Plymouth Argyle want to bring back Banton to Home Park after his impressive spell last season. He has been on loan at MK Dons this season but has not played regularly.

And left-back Parsons could make a move to the south west for some much-needed game time in the Football League.
