What a mover and what a man... a real football icon.
One of the main movers of "Corinthians' democracy".
When Brazil was under military dictatorship, Socrates was at the forefront of his club Corinthians determination to bring democracy to Brazil. The players, fans, staff, moneyed people all voted democratically on everything, who played, what players they bought and sold, what water they bought ... everything.
A fine democrat and proof that real community democracy works. Some closer to home would do well to learn.
