Not a big fan but I do feel he was dealt two pretty loaded decks, the Chelski hatchet job would have stumped anybody and the squad which has been thrown together at Spurs was always going to take a miracle, when you have so many 20 to 30 million pond players warming the bench the temptation to over rotate must be unbearable.

He never seemed to have an effective game plan which, when added to the injury crisis among his defenders, had potential disaster writ large, two so close together was bound to be hard for Daniel the Knife to take, fact remains though that it was Levy who has shipped in the managers and the DoF, who I wonder might be having a word in his shell like?

Plus the amount of players he brought in was terribly stupid, did he really expect that many foreign players to suddenly be able to adapt to the premiership and start playing with each other after not having done so previously? I also think there are 5 better teams in Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Everton this season that didnt help his cause.

If he had stayed then Levy surely wouldnt have given him more money to spend in Jan?

Rightfully sacked in my opinion, although i do not expect them to finish in the top 5 regardless of who they bring in/buy in jan

AVB didn't "spend" the money, Baldini did.

Last, but certainly not least, the three biggest signings will star at the World Cup next June while the likes of Rooney and Gerrard are shiite as usual, they are not "rubbish" players.

Interesting that this particular genius doesn't see Man Citeh as a "better team" despite them smashing Spurs for six without reply.

Spurs deserve whatever they get, getting rid of Caulker, Huddlestone and Livermore was a crime, especially with the latter two playing Liverpoo off the park so recently.

More importantly, Soldado, good enough for Del Bosque to start him in the confederations Cup, oops, and he scored, Paulinho, starred in the same Confederations Cup against who? only Spain, the World Champions. Lamela was a star in serie A, even Terry Henry took an age to adjust from Italy to to the PL, and you in your infinite wisdom describe them as "rubbish". You have got to be either a child or have just taken up watching the game because your X-Box got taken by the Repo Man.
