It's like a horror film. I believe him to be a ghost. A crisp eating ghost. Very strange.

Creepy as feck. A bit like the guy in the series The Fall who broke in women's houses and took some little mementos before returning another night to kill them and then take photos of their dead bodies to keep in his scrapbook.

I'd want a Police presence until this weirdo was behind bars and an alarm fitted.

A crime number will be sufficient, then if the worst does happen at least you can add a suffix to your existing number simply and easily which then saves lots of time so that the police can come down hard on real crime like kids drinking in parks and theft from rich people.

Being on the Barbican it could be a council or housing association property. Maybe an old tenant with a key seeing that it's apparently stopped since the locks have been changed. I know because Jessica Fletcher told me Laughing

I know you've been looking for a new phone POI but taking selfies in the mirror just to check the camera lol!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A WOMAN who claimed a mystery man crept into her house and took a photo of himself on her phone has remembered that she actually knows the man.

The Herald reported earlier this week that the woman, named only as Susan, was horrified to discover a photo of a stranger on her phone.

But she phoned police on Friday morning to inform them that she does know him and had invited him in for coffee on the day in question.

A police spokesman said tonight: “The man and the woman involved both came in at our request and spoke to investigators . The woman has been really apologetic.

"It appears to be a genuine mistake and she didn’t realise the image was of the man.

“There is no evidence of a malicious or premeditative motive behind her call to police.

“This was purely an awful lapse of memory.

“We have also contacted the man’s employers and assured them that [he] is no longer a person of interest to us.”

A force spokesman had said earlier: "We’ve had contact from the woman this morning whose phone the image was on, to say she now knows who the man in the picture is and that he was in her house legitimately.

"We are therefore assured this has been a mistake, the man in the photo is not a suspect of any crime and we will be making further contact with this person shortly to learn more."

The woman is not expected to be questioned in connection with any crime, such as wasting police time, and the force has issued an apology to the public.

The spokesman said: "We assume this was a genuine lapse of memory by this woman and we want to apologise to anyone who has been distressed by initially reading this story."

The woman, who is in her 30s and lives in the Barbican, initially raised fears the man had been in her house before because crisps had been going missing.

The image shows her lounge from the dining table with a photo of a man reflected in the mirror.

It remains unclear why the man was using the woman's phone - or who was eating the crisps.

So who did eat all the fecking crisps then? Sounds suspiciously like a severe case of diet breaking by the daughter.Or has the son really got a preventative crisp eating illness? Most mysterious.Popcorn time,so to speak.

Fishier than Captain Nemo's pocket this one. So she suddenly realises, after going to the police and talking to the local newspaper that she does indeed know this person and that he isn't to blame for the disappearance of crisps? Number one, she's wasting police time and number two, it's very possible that she was simply hatching a plan to obtain free crisps via the sympathy of a well meaning (and duped) local community; poor woman has been through enough.... I'll send her some wotsits.
Society really disgusts me. People expecting handouts, people not willing to go out and work HARD in the REAL world so they can provide a multi-pack of Discos for their family. Broken Britain.
